Benefits of a Training Diary
Good coaches will encourage you to keep a training diary of your weekly workouts. Diaries are kept from one season to the next to measure progress and help make improvements to your next season. I keep my training dairy very simple with only two categories per day: The Day - activities; and Health - this may include goals,weight check, sleep habits, injuries, blood pressure. Anything dealing with number data crunching and statistics of workouts and rides are logged using other software. I like to use Strava and Training Peaks for this data.
